Marvin Lee "Buster" Burner, 74, of Woodstock, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Winchester Medical Center surrounded by his family.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m. at the Valley Funeral Chapel, Bowmans Crossing. Pastor Dave Casto will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.

Mr. Burner was born November 13, 1943 in Woodstock, son of the late Marvin F. "Tony" Burner and Helen Shrum Burner.

He was a 1962 graduate of Central High School and an Army veteran of Vietnam War. He was formerly employed with FMC, George's and Auto Zone.

He was a member of Patmos Lutheran Church and Woodstock American Legion.

Buster is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dolores "Dee" Stoneburner Burner, whom he married November 19, 1967; three sisters, Mary Ann Didawick and husband Bill of Woodstock, Joan Polk and husband Loraine of Edinburg, and Janice Ryman and husband Kenny of Woodstock; brother-in-law, Gary L. "Jake" Stoneburner and wife Wanda of Mt. Jackson; niece, Lori Coffey and husband Kenny of Woodstock; nephew, Chris Ryman and wife Gabby of Woodstock; great niece, Mackenzie Ryman; and great nephews, Garrett Coffey, Jacob Coffey and Noah Ryman.

Pallbearers will be Bill Didawick, Loraine Polk, Kenny Ryman, Gary L. "Jake" Stoneburner, Kenny Coffey, Chris Ryman, Garrett Coffey, and Jacob Coffey.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
