Mary Catherine Morrison Brown, 95, of Front Royal, died Friday, October 18, 2013, in her home.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 20th, at 2:00 p.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery with The Rev. Dr. C. Thomas Rhyne.

Mrs. Brown was born September 26, 1918, in Bentonville, Virginia, daughter of the late James I. and Agnes Compton Morrison.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the Front Royal Presbyterian Church for over fifty years. She retired from Avtex. She was married to the late Arthur Lee Brown.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, James F. Brown, Sr.; a brother, William E. Morrison; and two sisters, Martha Alexander and Mattie Redmon.

Surviving are a daughter, Tracey B. Ramey and her husband John with whom she made her home; two sisters, Clarinda "Cindy" Moss of Edison, New Jersey, and Willie Irene Morrison of Front Royal; four grandchildren, John "JR" Ramey, Matthew Lee Ramey, Tina Robin Brown, and James F. Brown, Jr.; and nine great grandchildren, Jamie Buxton, Cary Buxton, Robin Buxton, Kyler Ramey, Alexis Ramey, Peyton Ramey, Richard Lillard, Grant Lillard, and Jacob Noland.

Family and friends are welcome to the home at 925 Braxton Rd., Front Royal following the service and anytime.
