Mazie P. Cullers, 91, of Fort Valley, Va., passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, Va.

Mazie was born August 28, 1921 in Fort Valley, Va. to Marybelle Ritenour Tamkin and Edwin Tamkin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Cullers; two sisters, Fleta Boyer and Fay Coates and two brothers, Leroy Tamkin and Paul Tamkin.
She was very active in the community with Dry Run UCC, Fort Valley Museum and Fort Valley Fire Department.
She leaves behind four children, Martin Cullers and wife Louise of Manassas, Va., Wayne Cullers and wife Faye of Woodstock, Va., Lonnie Cullers of Stephens City, Va., and Ardis Cullers of Winchester, Va.; sister, Clemence T. Bruce of Front Royal, Va.; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, at Dry Run UCC in Fort Valley, Va. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Pastor John Keep will officiate. Burial will follow in Dry Run Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Tamkin, Troy Tamkin, Chris Eye, Bradford Kline, Rick Saffell and Gerald Boyer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fort Valley Fire Department or Dry Run Christian Church in Mazie's memory.
