Meredith Grim Obituary


Meredith William (Mose) Grim, Sr., 83, a resident of New Market, passed away Wednesday morning, September 2, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Grim was born September 6, 1925 in Shenandoah County and was the son of the late Ollie Lee and Zella May Stroop Grim.

Mose had a forty-two year career as a truck driver and drove for Rooco Farm Foods of Edinburg for twenty-six of those years.

On October 8, 1948 he married the former Mary Strickler, who passed away on October 29, 2000.

He is survived by a son, Meredith W. (Butch) Grim, Jr. of Singers Glen; a daughter, Cheryl Gisewhite of New Market; a sister, Marlene Lam of Edinburg, three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

A graveside service will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery at New Market.

Friends may sign the register book on Friday from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. at the Theis Funeral Home in New Market. There will be no formal visitation and the casket will remain closed at Mose's request.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Theis Funeral Home, New Market (540) 740-3312.
