Nora Kathryn Kirby Mauck, 96, of Edinburg, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in Frederick County.

Kathryn was born June 21, 1917 in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late Vernon R. and Edna White Kirby. She was married to the late Cecil C. Mauck. Kathryn was a homemaker and one of the 12 founding members of First Church of Columbia Furnace.
Kathryn is survived by daughters, Roxie Lutz and Barbara Holler, son, Carroll K. Mauck, Woodstock, 5 sisters, Helen Day, Florene Silvious, Charlotte Wilkins, Alene Whisman, all of Edinburg, Norma Polk, Woodstock, 3 brothers, Vernon Kirby, Winchester, Allen Kirby, Woodstock, and Richard Kirby, Timberville, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Brian Duncan and Reverend Hardy Lutz at 1pm, Saturday, July 6, at Valley Funeral Service, Bowmans Crossing. Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Gardens.
