Patricia Dawn "Pat" Smith Shiley, age 81, of Strasburg passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Lynn Care Center, Front Royal.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28th, at Middletown Presbyterian Church with Dr. Rose Wayland and Rev. Joel Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Middletown followed with a meal at the Middletown Fire Department banquet hall.
Pat was born August 18, 1932 at Marlboro in Frederick County, a daughter of the late Frank and Christine Link Smith. She graduated from Strasburg High School and attended Strayer's Business College in Washington, D.C. She was employed at the Pennsylvania Avenue Branch of The National Bank of Washington where she was an Assistant Vice President until her retirement. After retirement, she and her husband traveled widely throughout the United States in their motor home and belonged to Fox Chase Sam's Club. She attended the Middletown Presbyterian Church and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Strasburg.
Surviving are her husband, Clayton Leslie Shiley, whom she married February 27, 1954; three brothers, Robert Franklin Smith and wife, Ida, Luther Stewart Smith and wife, Barbara and David Eugene Smith and wife, Sherand; her sister, Gloria Ann Stickley and husband, Ralph, all of Strasburg; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Legge, Bruce Legge, Mark Legge, Kevin Smith, Robert D. Smith and Michael Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Stickley, Mark Stickley, Brian Doman, Jalen Doman, Dennis Hose, Larry Hose and Jeffrey Shiley.
The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home, 177 No. Holliday St., Strasburg on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. Till 8:00 p.m.
