Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Patsy Fadely Coffelt, 83, of Edinburg, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Pat was born in 1935 in Columbia Furnace, the daughter of the late Glenn L Fadely and Frances Shipe Fadely.

After graduating from Edinburg High School in 1953, she completed Shenandoah Business College.

She married in June 1955 and they raised their family in Leesburg, VA. After returning to the valley in 1981, she became a faithful member of Columbia Furnace United Methodist Church and the Gideon's Auxiliary. For many years, she served as Treasurer and then Financial Secretary for Columbia Furnace United Methodist Church and she enjoyed hosting a weekly bible study in her home.

She was preceded in death by a son, Chris C. Coffelt, and grandson, Matthew Coffelt.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lowell Coffelt; a daughter, Marcia Coffelt of Charles Town, WV; a son, Dale Coffelt and wife Cynthia of Lovettsville, VA; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Coffelt of Round Hill, VA; a brother, Ray Fadely and wife Linda of Edinburg, VA; a grandson, Nathaniel Coffelt and wife Maggie of Mineral, VA; and a granddaughter, Amanda Coffelt of Round Hill, VA and several nephews and nieces, especially Lori Fadely of Maurertown, VA.

Pallbearers will be Gary Shipe, Conrad Helsley, Richard Burner, Dale Wetzel, Teddy Mumaw, and Kenneth Richman.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service, 14116 S. Middle Road, Edinburg, VA, and the funeral will be Friday, January 4, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Columbia Furnace United Methodist Church. Reverends Glen Early and Susan Michie-Bent will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon's Memorial Bible Program, P.O. Box 755, Woodstock, VA 22664.
