Sallie and Ray farmed for decades in Shenandoah County. They had no children, but they had many nieces and nephews of whom they were very proud. "Miss Sallie" as she was known to generations of 4-H'ers loved working with youth and helping young people acquire the skills and education required to live a productive life in a changing world.
