Thomas Silvius Obituary


Thomas Ashby Silvius, of Boyce, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Silvius was born in Charles Town, West Virginia, the son of Thomas and Anna Mae Painter Silvius.

He was employed by Wal-Mart.

He had served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam.

He was married to Cynthia Mercer Silvius.

Surviving with his wife are 3 sons, William Silvius, Jason Silvius, and James Moore all of Georgia; a daughter, Tresa Childs of Georgia; a step-daughter, Christina Brown of Stephens City, VA; a step-son, Chad Wiley of Berryville, VA; 3 brothers, Charles Silvius of Iowa, Ray Silvius of Pennsylvania, and Kenneth Silvius of Inwood, WV; 2 sisters, Marie Alger of Luray, VA and Sharon Rose of Charles Town, WV; 7 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P. M. Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA with Rev. Karen Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville.

Pallbearers will be Chad Wiley, James Moore, William Silvius, Jr., Timmy Tarmon, Jr., Brandon Silvius, and Jordan Muehleisen.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 P. M. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
