Wayne A. Sours

Wayne Austin Sours, 74, of Stephens City died Tuesday at Winchester Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home in Berryville by Dr. William E. Ingram. Burial, with military honors by Clarke County Honor Guard, will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville.

Mr. Sours was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Page County, son of the late Clarke Elbert and Ruth Dofflemyer Sours. He was an Air Force veteran. He retired as an apprentice from Perry/Judds of Strasburg after 17 years and had worked at Carr Publishing in Boyce. He attended Boyce Baptist Church and was a member of the Berryville Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel Catherine Sours; a son, Forrest Thomas "Tom" Sours of Winchester; two daughters, Rhonda Wayne Marco of Atlanta, Ga., and Deborah Dean Foltz of Winchester; three brothers, Nelson C. Sours of Camp Springs, Md., Dale E. Sours of Boyce and Ronnie L. Sours of Shawneeland; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Forrest "Tom" Sours, James B. Marco Jr., Leonard W. Foltz, Christopher W. Fox, Brent W. Marco, Ronnie L. Sours, Allen Dinges and Mark Chevalier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Amanda Foltz, Michelle Marco, Ashley Foltz, Rachel Sours, Rick Regan and William "Bill" Shimp.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Esther Boyd Animal Fund, 359 Woods Mill Road, Stephenson 22656.
