William "Bill" Moss, 56 of Maurertown, Virginia passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 23 at 6:00 P.M. at the French's Cabin, 1834 Ridgely Rd, Woodstock, Virginia.

Mr. Moss was born October 25, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. Son of the late William G. and Helen Smith Moss. He served in the Marine Corps from 1976 ­ 1980 and then again from 1983-1988. He was an expert rifleman, and rose to the rank of Sergeant meritoriously. He was self employed at F & B Farm as a blacksmith and woodworker. He was a blacksmith for the Commandant of The Marine Corps where some of his work was presented to President George W. Bush and President Barrack Obama.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Iris Fox Moss; two sons, John and Paul Langley; a daughter, Julia Caffery from England; a sister, Shirley Moss; and two brothers, John and Jimmy Moss from Ohio.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 20, from 6-8 P.M. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock, VA.
