William "Bill" D. Walker, 98, a resident of Springfield, Virginia passed away peacefully on March 3, 2018.

Services will be Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Mary Louise Brown will officiate. A private burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Bill was born on December 13, 1919 in Woodstock, Virginia to the late Carl and Lena Coffman Walker.

He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Frances Walker; and son, Richard Allen Walker. 

He retired after 30+ years from the Washington Gas Company, where he was a Supervisor of Customer Service, and as from the US Army Reserves after years of dedicated service. He was also a member of the Annandale Methodist Church. 

He is survived by his brothers, Elvin Walker, Ralph Walker, and Herb Walker; and his sister, Shirley Seal; as well as his grandsons, Kevin and Craig Walker; and great granddaughter. Savannah Walker. 

He will be dearly missed by all who had the distinct honor of knowing him. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to a .
