Edith Mae Ritter Renner, age 86, a resident of Middletown, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at her residence.

A funeral service for Mrs. Renner will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2012 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. Timothy E. Teates officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Middletown.

She was born on June 20, 1925 in Shenandoah County, VA a daughter of the late Charles William "Will" and Annie C. Neff Ritter.

She was the widow of Wilmer "Buck" Renner.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Charlie Ritter and Paul Ritter; sisters, Luella Clark, Clayton Ritter, Peggy Helsley, Katherine Fleming, Hazel Ward and Phonie Pangle.

Survivors include her beloved children, Robert Renner and wife, Jean and Patricia Hudgins and husband, William "Billy", both of Middletown, VA; grandchildren, Lisa Rickman and husband Timmy of Middletown, VA, Dianne Arbogast and husband Scott of Winchester, VA, Jeffrey Palmer of Middletown, VA, Steven Palmer of Winchester, VA, Kimmy Asperheim and husband Scott of Duluth, MN, Shelly Dyer and husband, Dink of Stephens City, VA; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Leodia Palmer and husband Sonny of Timberville, VA and Shirley Layman and husband, Gilbert of Lacy Springs, VA; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Palmer, Steven Palmer, Robbie Dyer, David Nichols, Timmy Rickman and Greg Layman.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM.
