Nina Virginia Rice, 92, of Winchester, VA, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Rice was born February 12, 1920 in Williamsport, WV, the daughter of the late Isadore T. and Mary Bosley Gillaspie. She retired as a binder with Doubleday.
She married the late Ray Rice on June 21, 1937 in Petersburg, WV.
She is survived by her children, April Baker of Lebanon Church, VA, Roland E. Rice of Mt. View, CA, Raymond E. Rice of Winchester, VA, Victor E. Rice of Winchester, VA and Greg Rice in Front Royal, VA; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Florence Carr, Irene Hottle and Beula Carr and four brothers, Calvin E. Gillaspie, Frank Gillaspie, Amos Gillaspie and Berlin Gillaspie.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Kent Woodward officiating. Burial will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
