John B. Fitzpatrick, 90, of Basye, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was born January 18, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Charles and Florence Hill Fitzpatrick.
He served in the United States Coast Guard during W.W. II and was founder and owner of Metro Dental Supply and Equipment.
He was a member of Our Lady of The Shenandoah Roman Catholic Church in Basye.
He is survived by his wife, Reta Casey Fitzpatrick; four children, Lorraine Dewey, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Christine Chalk and Neil Fitzpatrick; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura McCall.
Memorial Mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of The Shenandoah Roman Catholic Church by Father Richard Ley.
