Thomas Franklin "Frank" Wilson, age 102, a resident of Strasburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Lynn Care of Front Royal, VA.
A graveside service for Mr. Wilson will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Panorama Memorial Gardens, Warren County with Rev. Paul Campbell officiating.
He was born on May 30, 1910, a son of the late Early and Lizzie Mae Bennett Wilson. Mr. Wilson was retired from Southern Railroad and was a member of Strasburg Christian Church, life member of Strasburg Moose Lodge 304, an avid hunter and fisherman especially turkey hunting. Mr. Wilson loved his family and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Elizabeth Messick Wilson; a daughter, Kay Frances Keech; siblings, Helen Smith, Frances Peyton, Paul Wilson, Calvin Wilson, Ruth Della-Badia, Dallas Wilson and Vallie McIe.
Survivors include his son, Rickie Franklin Wilson and wife Debbie of Strasburg; grandchildren, Teresa Lorraine Frye and husband Larry W., Krysta Gale Weatherholtz and husband Kevin, Rickie Franklin Wilson, Jr. and wife Karla; great-grand- children, Mason Andrew Weatherholtz, Brady Franklin Weatherholtz, Kaitlyn Fadely and Eric Fadely; and a sister, Hilda Bowman of Strasburg.
Pallbearers will be Rickie F. Wilson, Jr., Larry W. Frye, Kevin Weatherholtz, Mason Weatherholtz, Gary Orndorff and Rick Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Strasburg Moose Lodge 304.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
