Shirley Grace Ritenour, 85, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, June 25, 2012.
She was born in Amherst County, VA on April 8, 1927 to Carl and Helen Tucker.
She married Ralph L. Ritenour on April 6, 1950 in Hagerstown, MD, who preceded her in death in 1991.
Along with being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to her family, she was employed and retired from S. S. Kresge after 20 years of service.
She is survived by two daughters, Penny Conner of Stephens City, VA and Sherrill Henry of Bentonville, VA; and one son, Randall "Jack" Ritenour of Stephens City, VA; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home in Stephens City, on Friday, June 29, between 6:00- 9:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 30, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Shelvie Mantz officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Stephens City.
Pallbearers will be Boogie Conner, Matt Conner, Mark Conner, Chad Conner, Joshua Henry, Ryan "Buster" Ritenour, Jimmy Henry and Walter Hathcock.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Henry, Tim Hockman, and Bill Conner.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stephens City Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 253, Stephens City, VA 22655 or Shawnee Fire and Rescue, 2210 Valor Drive, Winchester, VA 22601.
