Helen Rose Meyers, 95 (formerly of Front Royal, VA) died Friday, June 29, 2012 at The Willows of Meadow Branch in Winchester, VA.
She was born May 9, 1917 in Johnstown, PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Bock.
She graduated from Johnstown High School in Johnstown, PA.
She married the late Charles O. Meyers on November 25, 1937.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and worked as the Circulation Manager for the Warren Sentinel in Front Royal for many years. She also was a volunteer at Samuelás Public Library.
Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry W. and Nancy Kay Meyers of Inwood, WV; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Richard Kearns of Raleigh, NC and Wendy S. and Gerald D. Morrison of Wytheville, VA; five grandchildren, Shelly Goble of Newport News, VA, Dwayne Meyers and wife Leigh Anne of Martinsburg, WV, Luke Payne of Raleigh, NC, Logan D. Morrison and wife Ashley E. of Wytheville, VA and Kelsey B. Morrison; one great-grandson; and two great-granddaughters.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Masonic Cemetery in Middleway, WV.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 1643 Pitzers Chapel Road, Martinsburg, WV 25403 or the Building Fund for the Wytheville Presbyterian Church, 285 Church Street, Wytheville, VA 24382.
