Madie Logean Barnett, age 76, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012, at Warren Memorial Hospital, in Front Royal, Virginia.
She was born in Buchanan County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Cecil and Lillie Irene Smith Ward.
Madie had been a resident of Front Royal, Virginia since 1992. She loved to read her Bible and enjoyed cooking. Madie was a homemaker and she attended church at the Front Royal Church of the Nazarene in Front Royal Virginia. She was a quiet woman, but when she spoke it was straight to the point and with love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Keith Barnett; one daughter, Linda Sue Barnett; and two brothers, Rudolph Ward and Delford Ward.
She is survived by two sons, Johnny Lee Barnett and wife Lori of Front Royal, Virginia, and Timmy Barnett and wife Regina of Front Royal, Virginia; one sister, Geneva White and husband, Truman of Grundy,Virginia; three brothers, Ron Keith Ward and wife Juanita of Medina Ohio, Kemp Ward and wife Mae of Luray, Virginia, and J.C. Ward and wife Claire of Grundy, Virginia. Nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive her.
There will a be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on August 25, 2012 at the Front Royal Church of the Nazarene in Front Royal, Virginia with Dr. Samuel J. Blakely officiating.
