Donald Allen Bohlmann, 83, of Front Royal, VA, died on Monday, September 10, 2012, at his home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by The Rev. Cameron Keyser. Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Mr. Bohlmann was born July 27, 1929 in Iroquois County, IL, son of the late Martin and Gertrude Weiss Bohlmann. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He attained the rank of Sergeant with Company E, 8th Calvary, 1st Cavalry Division. He retired as a flight engineer from Pan Am Airlines after 33 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stephens City, Front Royal VFW Post 1860, and the NRA.

Surviving are his wife, Bobbi Shifflett Bohlmann of Front Royal; one son, Raymond Bohlmann and wife Georgia of Front Royal; three daughters, Rhonda Grim and husband Terry of Stephens City, Kristi Comer and husband Todd of Bristow, VA, and Brandy Prieto and husband Feliciano of Strasburg, VA; six brothers; four sisters; seven grandchildren, Samantha Brittain of Stephens City, Ashleigh Bohlmann of Celebration, FL, Kaleb Comer of Manassas, Seth Comer of Bristow, Zachary Ryman of Strasburg, Aaron Grim of Stephens City, and Brett Bohlmann of Front Royal; and one great-grandson, Kaiden Comer of Manassas.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 810 Fairfax Pike, Stephens City, VA 22655.
