Nina Virginia Taylor Sherman, age 85, a resident of Strasburg, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Envoy of Winchester.

Entombment services for Mrs. Sherman will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Panorama Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wendell Schurtz officiating.

She was born on April 29, 1927 in Strasburg, VA, a daughter of the late Edward Michael and Mary Virginia Orndorff Taylor.

She attended Walnut Springs Christian Church and the Strasburg Women of the Moose Chapter 1319.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralphard Cecil Sherman and a brother, Robert "Bobby" Taylor.

Survivors include her children, John "Red" Hall and wife Judy of Strasburg, Lana S. Louderback of Shenandoah, and Gary Wayne Sherman and wife Cynthia of Lebanon Church; siblings, John E. Taylor of Woodstock, Elizabeth "Nookie" Horan of Strasburg, June Mason of Strasburg, and Mary Jane Armentrout of Front Royal; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren: and one great-great-grandson.
