Judy Ann Brookman, 63, of Warren County, VA, died on Friday, January 18, 2013, at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Jim Bunce. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Brookman was born September 21, 1949 in Warren County, VA, daughter of the late James Edwin Butler, Sr. and Cora Beaty Butler. She previously worked as a clerk for Bowling Green Golf Club, Jackson's Chase Golf Club, and Rocky Lane Grocery, and was an exceptional loving caretaker for her in laws, Ralph and Jeanette Brookman. She enjoyed going to Nags Head, playing bingo and just loved taking a scenic drive with no destination with her loving husband Jerry.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Jerry Brookman; one daughter, Candy Ann Hunger and husband Robert of Front Royal; three sons, Charles Williams of Chester Gap, John Williams of Strasburg, and Ted Williams and wife Heather of Washington State; two brothers, James Edwin Butler, Jr. and wife Shirley of Lovettsville, VA, and Robert Butler of Woodstock, VA; one sister, Carolyn Bolton of Front Royal; extended sisters, Linda S. Jenkins, Teresa Curry and Gloria Jenkins, all of Front Royal; brother- in-law, Michael Brookman of Stephens City; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Butler; and an extended sister, Joyce Perry.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Butler, Josh Butler, Frank Reynolds, Craig Salisbury, Britton Robinson, Jeromie Robinson, Michael Brookman, and Michael Tharp.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
