Dwight Henry Cook, 77, of Edinburg, died Saturday, April 27, 2013.

A funeral service will be held at Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Keith Simmons. Burial will follow in the Wakeman Family Cemetery.
Mr. Cook was born in Edinburg, Virginia on March 13, 1936. He was the son of the late Homer Samuel and Rebecca Wakeman Cook. He was a 1955 graduate of Edinburg High School and served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren, Hunter Masonic Lodge # 135, The Royal Arch, The Shrine, the American Legion Post # 199 and the NRA.
He was the owner operator of Cook's Interstate Shell for many years and Cook's Auto and Trailer Sales.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Cook; and a sister, Geneva Stephens.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Bowers Cook of Edinburg; a son, Darrell Cook of Edinburg; a daughter, Kelly Pence of St. Charles, MO; a sister, Gloria Markley of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Michelle and Matthew Pence, both of St. Charles, MO and Trent Cook of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday evening until 9 p.m. following a Masonic Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.
