Orless "Punch" Earl Funk Sr., 82, of Winchester, VA passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Funk was born on July 28, 1930 in McCauley, WV the son of the late Paul P. and Florence Wilkins Funk.

He served in the United States Army, was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #824, worked for Patton's Moving Company for 30 years and drove a truck for Champion Iron Works.

He married Hazel "Ginger" Millard on March 30, 1990 in Winchester, VA.

He is survived by his wife of Winchester, his daughters, Inge J. Funk of Winchester, VA, Alice G. Wilson of Batavia, IL, Brenda A. Semones of Edinburg, VA and Dawn L. Sleicher of Harrisonburg, VA; a son, Steven J. Hollar of Strasburg, VA; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Orless E. Funk Jr.; three brothers, Herbert W. Funk, Theodore Funk and Virgil H. Funk Sr.; and a sister, Alma Funk Morris.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2012, at Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Benner, Ronnie Benner, Adam Benner, Hunter Hollar, Cole Hollar, Kyle Polk, Eric Semones and Sean Semones.
