William P. 'Bill' Borden Jr., 76, of Woodstock, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Pastor Joe Fleming will officiate.

Mr. Borden was born October 28, 1937 in Woodstock, son of the late William P. Borden Sr. and Margaret Bowers Borden.

He was a 1957 graduate of Woodstock High school. He formerly worked for Ortt's Electric and retired from the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors Maintenance Department. He was a member of St John's United Church of Christ at Harrisville.

Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley Rudy Borden; four children, Phil Borden of Woodstock, Linda Borden Kibler and husband Curt Sawyer of Woodstock, Todd Borden and wife Kathy of Maurertown and Melissa Borden Dellinger and husband Darcy of Woodstock; one sister, Doris Robinson of Woodstock; four grandchildren, Sharon Kibler, Robert Kibler and wife Amanda, Ethan Dellinger and Forrest Dellinger; three step grandchildren, Jason and Lisa, Leah and Anthony, and Jesse and Amanda; two great-grandchildren, Aliyah Kibler and Porter Kibler and ten step-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Ortts, Kirby Ortts, Marshall Robinson, John Laughlin, Daryl Bowman and Danny Dellinger.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Ortts, Robert "Tippy" Pangle, Dale Kingree, Dickie Sherman, Ronnie Stepp, Charlie Sherman and James Kiser.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ at Harrisville.
