Sidney M. Sibert, age 95, a resident of Toms Brook, VA passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Consulate Healthcare of Woodstock.

A funeral service for Mrs. Sibert will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 21, 2014 at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

She was born in Kearneysville, WV on October 2, 1918 a daughter of the late Fred and Mabel Rhinehart Miller. She was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church and a retired elementary school teacher having worked 40 years in Shenandoah County Public School System.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Baker Sibert; a daughter, Carolyn Jo Sibert and a sister, Virginia Miller Whitaker.

Mrs. Sibert was a well liked and respected member of the community and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two nieces.

Pallbearers will be Gary Walker, Joe Coffman, Bill Walton, Tyler Williams, Vaughn Orndorff, and Wayne Bly.

Honorary pallbearer will be John Smoot and Donnie Bly.

In lieu of flowers memorial contribution in memory of Mrs. Sibert may be made to the Joe Baker Sibert Scholarship Fund, c/o Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, 12180 Back Road, Toms Brook, VA 22660.
