Nevin Luther Bull, 85, of Front Royal, VA, left his home to be with His Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, with Rev. Jon Huddleston officiating. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. at Maddox. A reception following the service will be held at the family's home.
Mr. Bull was born on March 27, 1929 in Red Lion, PA. He was the son of the late Mervin E. Bull and Edna Mae Gohn Bull of Front Royal.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis Shuler Bull in 2013.
Mr. Bull graduated from Warren County High School in 1947. He served his country as an Airman First Class for the United States Air Force from 1950-1952. Mr. Bull worked with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for many years, as an agent and later as a regional sales manager. He was certified as an LUTC (Life Underwriter Training Council) agent in 1963, and earned his CLU (College of Life Underwriters) degree in 1971. After retiring from the insurance business, Mr. Bull sold real estate in the Front Royal area.
Mr. Bull was a current member of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville where he taught Adult Sunday School Class.
Mr. Bull was a devout follower of the Lord and spent many hours every week reading his Bible. He was proud of his many decades of service with the Front Royal Gideons, where he served in a variety of leadership positions. Mr. Bull was a family man who loved his country, and was often seen tending his garden. He was an avid hunter, and loved sports, primarily as a spectator of football, baseball and basketball.
Surviving are his sons, Nevin Luther Bull, Jr. and his wife, Debbie Vaught Bull of Rockland; Donald Albert Bull and his wife Lisa Cox Bull of New Market; Matthew Scott Bull and his fiance Marni Burroughs of Remington; two daughters, Cindy Lou Bull of Fredericksburg and Wanda Sue Bull Praske and husband Robert M. Praske of El Dorado Hills, CA. Surviving grandchildren are Stacey Bull Credle and husband Clifton M. Credle, III of Gainesville; Allison Wetzel of Woodstock; Jessica, Liza and Henry Bull of New Market; Christian Bull of Remington and Emily Praske of El Dorado Hills, CA. In addition, Mr. Bull was blessed to have 5 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
With his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Fay Bull Lawson, Celia Rae Bull Willey and Mary Jane Bull Baumgardener and one brother, George Albert Bull.
