Juanita Elizabeth Hamman Himelright, age 92, of Strasburg, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Woodstock.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 18th at Stover Memorial Chapel, Strasburg with Rev. Kathleen Haynes and Pastor David Duckworth officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Himelright was born May 1, 1922 in Needmore, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Joseph William and Hazel Day Wilkins Hamman.

She retired after many years of service from Skyline Terrace Nursing Home, Woodstock as a CNA and owned and operated a small dairy farm with her husband for a number of years. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Ladies Aid. She was the wife of the late H. Hopewell Himelright, Sr.

Surviving are her son, Henry H. Himelright, Jr. and wife, Donna of Strasburg; three sisters, Genevieve Reager of Front Royal, Lillie Zirkle of Maurertown and Gladys Garrett of Seaford, Delaware; a brother, Alvin Hamman of Woodstock.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Hamman and a sister, Wilma Ryman.

Pallbearers will be Frank Zirkle, Jr., James Himelright, Craig Himelright, Erol Beeler, Leo Ryman and Eugene Hamman.

Honorary pallbearer will be William Meeker.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. till service time.
