She was the wife of the late T.C. "Pete" Haun.
She is survived by her only son, Dr. Larry C. Haun of Strasburg, and a sister, Gloria Helsley and her family of Georgia.
Polly was the oldest member of Strasburg United Methodist Church where she served on most of the church committees. She was the first member of the altar flower committee, furnishing flowers from her yard and garden, and was a member of the Walter Cooley's Sunday school class, and the United Methodist Women. She sang in the choir, and assisted in the kitchen with church functions. She was the oldest member of the Massanutten Garden Club. She served at the Strasburg Museum, worked in the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital gift shop and for the hospital auxiliary. She also had worked previously at Safeway, Vaughan's Drugstore and People's Drug Store.
She loved to grow and care for flowers in her garden and make beautiful flower arrangements. She was an excellent cook, homemaker, enjoyed wearing nice clothes, and enjoyed trips with her husband and son to Florida and to the beach. She later went on cruises with her son and drove to upstate New York to visit him on many occasions. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
