Deborah Ward Obituary
Deborah June Heishman Ward, 58, of New Market, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at home.
She was born January 8, 1958 at the Hinkle Maternity Home at New Market and was a daughter of Mary P. Phillips Heishman Hill of New Market and the late Douglas Heishman.
Debbie was a well known resident of the community. For years she was a delivery person for the Northern Virginia Daily newspaper. She had also been employed by 7-11, Bowman Apple Products of Mt. Jackson and was currently employed by Masonite Door Co. of Stanley.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Ward.
In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by a daughter, Michelle Lantz Fowler of Hampton; three sisters, Barbara Mason, Carolyn May and Alice Tiffany; and two grandsons, Matthew and Joshua.
The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Theis Funeral Chapel of New Market.
It was Debbie's wish to be cremated.

Shelly and Nana, I am so sorry to hear about Debbie's passing. She was such a joy to be around. Her laughter was the best medicine ever!!! She had the biggest heart and cared so much for everyone around her. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

Debbie was a great employee, person, and most of all friend. I will cherish my last day with her, when she gave me a hug and said, "Don't forget about me". I will never forget her, and will miss her now and forever.

Started my first day at Masonite with Debbie. We hit it off like I knew her all my life. We had a lot of talks and grew to be great friends. I had to quit there but occassionally went back to visit her on lunch. Last time she hugged and cried because she was happy to see me and told me to visit her again she missed me. Well, I miss her now. She was a great friend. RIP Debbie
