I just remember Uncle Ralph and Jo always up at my best friend Peggy's house when we were kids, had some of the greatest times there. In later years, when I would see him, he'd always ask me about my "cholesterol", always joking with me. Always a smile and a laugh, those memories I will always cherish. My thoughts are with all of you at this time.

I can still remember the day we were introduced to Ralph as Grandma's friend. I was 8 years old and could not figure out why he was coming over all the time to visit. I am so glad he did!! We have such great memories of him especially during the summers and holidays. He was always comfortable on the couch with the remote. What a great man who influenced us all and was such a loving individual to my Grandma. One of a kind and truly a gift from God.

You will be missed Ralphie, especially your laugh, your hugs, your phone calls to say you are watching tv, the pet names you had for us and your dominio playing. Thank you for watching over Grandma for 22 years. That was an adventure that only the two of you will ever know. I miss ya daily and will love ya forever.

Ralph meant so much to our family. He was a dear friend to our mother sharing the best of times and also the tough times. His faith, patience, and kindnes was always present. Through his own health issues, he never gave up faith and was a good example for everyone around him showing mental toughness. He was the grandfather to our own children when their biological grandparents were already gone. They all adored him. Ralph had a very predictable routine that involved a lot of good fiends. His presence, big smile, and sincere friendship will be missed. Ralph, you are a perfect 28 Hand to us.

Ralph “Ralphie” Shrum was one of a kind. Our family was blessed with his presence for many years. He always wore a smile and enjoyed a good laugh. Ralph started off 2010 with his typical style, bidding 28 on one of the first hands of dominos! Just spending time with him was a privilege. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone. Ralph is in a better place with no pain where the TV is free and always in HD.

God Bless
