Randolph Butler DeNeal, Sr., age 85, of Front Royal went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2011 at his home.

A homegoing celebration will be conducted on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 1:00 at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
Mr. DeNeal was born in Front Royal on May 2, 1925, a son of the late James and Leslie Alsberry DeNeal. After returning from service in the Navy during W.W.II Mr. DeNeal worked in the kitchen at Randolph Macon Academy, worked in the body shop at Marshall Motors and then Jack Evans. He was a member of the Cavalier Club, played trumpet and drums for the Solid Senders and sang with the Echoes of Joy Community Choir for the Festival of Leaves.
Mr. DeNeal is survived by his son, Randolph (Randy) B. DeNeal, Jr., and wife Loretta of Front Royal; his daughters, Demetria (Dee) DeNeal and Cynthia (Cindy) DeNeal both of Front Royal; his sister-in-law, Camilla DeNeal; his seven grandchildren; his 15 great grandchildren and his two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Mr. DeNeal was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Helena DeNeal in January 2011.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
