Amber Nikcole Alexander Lucchiani, 38, of Winchester Virginia, was called home by the Lord, Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Winchester.

Amber was born on February 18, 1974 in Morgantown, West Virginia. She is the daughter of Libby and Steve Shoulders and the late Charles Alexander.
She was a 6th grade teacher at Robert E. Aylor Middle School in Stephens City. Amber was a graduate of WVU receiving a Bachelors Degree in Education and did post graduate work at JMU. Amber was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Inwood, West Virginia.
She married Antonio Gerald Lucchiani on July 7, 2006, in Winchester.
Amber was many things to many people. To her husband, she was his best friend, rock of Gibraltar and devoted wife. To her children, the divine miracles in her life, she was an adoring and devoted mother. To her students, she was an inspiration and tenacious advocate. She was a great patriot, volunteering her time at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV for the PTSD program with her students. To her family and friends she was everything. She was a circle of light to her mother, her sister's best friend, and her brothers were her babies. She was a Prayer Warrior to all. She was the wellspring of life and the heartbeat of her family.
Surviving with her husband Antonio is her son, Anthony Alexander; daughter, Isabella Marie; parents, Libby & Steve Shoulders of Morgantown West Virginia; sister, Tracy Frankwick and husband Joel of South Riding Virginia; brothers, Philip Alexander of Morgantown West Virginia, Isaac Alexander of Charles Town West Virginia, Shawn Shoulders and wife, Suzan of Richlands North Carolina, Steven Shoulders and wife, Heather, of Jacksonville North Carolina; mothers-in-law, Colette âMemeã Davis of Berkeley Springs West Virginia, Jeannette âBa Noiã Klimowiez of Corvallis Oregon and beloved aunts, Mary Jo Levin of Aldie Virginia, Phyllis Bateson of Westernport Maryland and Sherran Pride of Morgantown West Virginia; along with other numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel in Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Inwood West Virginia with Father Brian Shoda officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lucchiani family in care of Antonio Lucchiani at Apple Federal Credit Union.
