Arlene Orndorff Legg, age 83, formerly of Middletown, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Legg was born December 1, 1928 in Star Tannery, VA, a daughter of the late Gordon D. and Jermiah K. Orndorff.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, was retired from the the coning department at Avtex Fibers, Front Royal and had worked in the cafeteria at Bass-Hoover Elementary School, Stephens City.
She was the wife of the late Lewis Allen Legg.
Surviving are two daughters, Kay L. Bland and husband Russell of Winchester and Jennifer L. Grim and husband Terry of Inwood, WV; a son, Jeffrey A. Legg of Winchester; a sister, Charlotte Copeland of Star Tannery; three grandchildren, Kami W. Tenney and husband Bill, Brittany A. Grim and Taylor N. Grim; and two great-grandchildren, Luke and Maggie Tenney.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah A. Legg; four sisters, Beck Stover, Montrue Carper, May Jenkins and Ruth Strosnider; and two brothers, Oswald Orndorff and Edward Orndorff.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Joe Carper, Denny Carper, Gary Jenkins, Fred Strosnider, Jr. and Terry Strosnider.
The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home, 177 N. Holliday Street, Strasburg on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, Middletown with Rev. Thomas Keithley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Middletown.
