Jacksie Florence Pearson, 96, of Edinburg, Virginia, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 with her loving family by her side at Consulate Healthcare in Woodstock, Virginia.

Jacksie was born January 27, 1916 in Peacock Station, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Hibbs.
She was an office manager for 14 years at Pyrofax Gas in Vienna then went on to be a credit manager for over 20 years at Weber Tire Company in Fairfax. In 1973, she retired and moved to Edinburg with her loving husband Aubrey to their cabin on "Rocky Ridge" where they lovingly helped raise several grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, pottery, cooking and traveling. She volunteered at W.W. Robinson Elementary in the clinic for several years. She attended Shenandoah County Senior Center and was a member of Community Mission Church of the Brethren in Edinburg. Her husband, Aubrey Lee Pearson, whom she married on November 23, 1932, preceded her in death August 1995.
Surviving is her sister, Huldah McQuillen of Easton, Maryland; two grandchildren, Robert Feather, Jr. and Lisa Spitler, both of Edinburg; seven great-grandchildren, Patricia Feather of Edinburg, Joshua Feather of Fredericksburg, Ashley Jones of Conicville, Jessica Atkins of Woodstock, Steven Scott Feather, Jr. of Manassas, Heather Hodson and Emily Halterman, both of Edinburg. She is also survived by four great-great grandchildren, Hunter and Caitlyn Jones of Conicville and Jenaya Feather and Jasmin Singleton of Fredericksburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her only child, daughter, Johann Lee Buscher, three sisters, Marie Cornwell, Dorothy DeJarnette and Anne Miles, brother, Herbert Hibbs and infant brother, Joseph Hibbs, grandson Steven Scott Feather, Sr. and two great-great grandchildren, Isabella Lee Hodson and Lilliana Hope Hodson preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg with Pastor Hardy Lutz officiating. Interment will be in Cedarwood Cemetery in Edinburg. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Mission Church of the Brethren, Edinburg or the Shenandoah County Senior Center in Edinburg.
Nana was not only a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, but was an outstanding woman of faith, leadership, generosity and patience. We will miss her wisdom, grace and tenderness. We love you and will always carry you in our hearts, Nana!
