Jackie (Jack) Lee Tindle, 68 of Winchester, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at his home.

Jack was born on November 23, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana, the son of James Edward Tindle (deceased) and Juanita Keach Gilpin who now resides at Lynn Care, Front Royal, VA.

He married Norma Jean Shaw of Iaeger, WV on October 23, 1971 in Vienna, VA.

The Ford muscle car enthusiast family lost a lifetime collector and promoter when Jack passed away. He started out in the mid-sixties as a Ford mechanic and honed his craft into becoming known worldwide for his expertise and knowledge of the golden era of Ford muscle cars. Hundreds of Mustangs, Shelbys, Fairlanes, Galaxies, Torinos and other Ford models passed through his hands and garage over the 40 plus years he lived his dream profession. His understanding and knowledge of these works of art was truly legendary.

Along with his loving and devoted wife and best friend Norma, he leaves behind two adoring children, Michelle (Shelley) Lee Whittaker and husband Tim of Stephens City and William Jack Tindle of Winchester; four grandchildren, Brandi Lloyd, Danielle Shanholtz and Timothy Whittaker, all of Stephens City, VA; and Finn Mason Tindle of Santa Cruz, CA and one great granddaughter, Caitlynn Shanholtz. Jack was blessed to have two sisters, Phyllis Lawrence and husband Don of Las Cruces, NM, Linda Money and husband Bob of Round Rock, TX; and a brother, and sister-in-law, Eugene and Sandy Shaw of Iaeger, WV.

Jack has been loved by and shared many good times with his nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Jack's life at the Greenwood Baptist Church, 778 Greenwood Road, Winchester, VA 22602 on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Family and friends will gather from 12 till 1:00. Officiating will be Pastor Carl Menefee and Pastor Glenn Welsh.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Baptist Church or SPCA, 115 Featherbed Lane, Winchester, VA 22601.
