JAMES Clinton Cosson(1946 - 2013)

James Clinton Cosson, age 66, of Crestview, passed away late Sunday evening, May 26, 2013, at his home in the presence of his loving family.

He was born July 11, 1946 in Crestview to the late Neatward Turner Cosson and Essie Lou (Locke) Cosson.

James was a talented sheet metal worker, and was employed with Bayou Mechanical for many years. He also worked as a bus driver for the Okaloosa School District, and was a proud combat veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melba Jean Cosson Moody.

James is survived by his wife, Selma Cosson; children Lonnie (Vicki) Miller and Stephanie (Jay) Sanders; a sister, Jan (Lamar) Cutchins; three brothers, William "Bill" Dalton (Sonya) Cosson, John Randall (Martha) Cosson and Roger LeJene (Paulette) Cosson; six grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Danie (Kelly) Parris, Zachary Miller, Tori Paul, Matt Sanders, and Jacey Sanders; and one great grandson, Finley Parris, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

A time of visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.

Funeral Services will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, with Brother Sam Totten officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Crestview.
