Thomas Michael "Moose" Moore


On March 30, 2014, Thomas Michael "Moose" Moore from Waverly, Ky., was welcomed into heaven. He joined the Air Force in 1975. He served as enlisted and rose to the rank of captain. He was a Gulf War veteran as an EOD technician before retiring with 21 years of service. He earned his master's degree at Troy State.
After his military career, he worked as a Program Manager with General Dynamics. His leisure time was spent with his wife of 42 years, Carol Moore, in and around the Niceville area. He was known for his unique insight and quirky humor. He was often found participating in his favorite past times of riding motorcycles, boating and enjoying good company.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas "Zooter" Moore, and brother, Donnie.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Moore; wife, Carol; brothers, Gary, Bobby, Sam, Brad and Kenny; sisters, Kathy, Debbie, and Vicki; son, Shane; daughters, Bree and husband, Billy, Alarie and husband, Denmark, and Susannah; granddaughter, Emily; and yellow lab, Jake.
Please join us in celebrating his life with a memorial gathering of friends and family at 1 p.m., on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Twin Cities Funeral Home, 1405 E John Sims Parkway, Niceville, Fla. A service will follow at 2 p.m., with burial to take place at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso.
