Carroll Ott Obituary
He was born on Nov. 1, 1931, in Bucks County, Pa., to Herbert and Anna Griffith Ott. Mr. Ott was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving his country in the U.S. Navy with over 26 years of service before retiring. He also worked with civil service with the U.S. Army as a radio repairman for 15 years. He enjoyed working, water skiing, woodworking and flying.
Mr. Ott was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Janice Clymer, Shirley Godown and Marie Ott; three brothers, Maurice Ott, Joel Ott and George Ott; and granddaughter, Wilma Ott.
Mr. Ott is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ida Mae Ott of Ponce de Leon, Fla.; one son, Carroll Ott Jr. of Ponce de Leon; four daughters, Anita Liberatone and husband Joseph of Scranton, Pa., Shirley Casey and husband Brian of Hudson, N.H., Maureen Krom and husband Doug of Paupack, Pa., and Jane Rossi of Milford, Pa.; five brothers, Herbert , Robert, John, Donald and Lowell Ott; five sisters, Lois Boyington, Sylvia Bechtel, Linda Tweed, Nadene Hager and Susan Schwenk; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, 230 Park Ave., DeFuniak Springs, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 25, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with the Rev. Owen Smith and Dr. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors.
