Charles Castille, age 84, of Crestview, Fla., passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013, at North Okaloosa Medical Center. He was born in Oreneville, La., on Sept. 25, 1928, to Lawrence and Angel Castille. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Charles retired from the Air Force after 20 years of honorable service. After retirement he worked for the civil service at Eglin Air Force Base. Charles loved farming, fishing with his grand kids, and raising cattle.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mae K. Castille; son, Pat and wife, Evelyn; daughter, Betsy Brooks and husband, Dan; son, Richard; son, Paul and wife, Carrie, all of Crestview, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Keller Ree McMillian of Texas and several nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Charles will be on Friday, June 21, 2013, at 2:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.
