Ernest Fauson Obituary
After his retirement from the military, Ernest began a new career working for the City of Fort Walton Beach as well as the State of Florida as a Hotel/Restaurant Inspector. After his second retirement Mr. Fauson and his wife enjoyed traveling the country together. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work and spending quality time with his family. Mr. Fauson was also a long term member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar, Fla.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Mr. Fauson is survived by his wife of 71 years, Vera M. Fauson; his children, Joan White of Fort Walton Beach, Elizabeth Parker, (Craig) of Las Vegas, Susan Bass, (Gary) of Crestview, Fla., and Ernest F. Fauson Jr., (Bobbie) of Lynnhaven, Fla.; grandchildren, Teresa Fite, (Chad) of San Antonio, Texas, Melissa White,(James Cartwright) of Fort Walton Beach, Evonne Burris, (Brian) of Las Vegas, Dianna Scroggins of Fort Walton Beach, James T. White II, (Jennifer) of Fort Walton Beach, Timmy Parker, (Anne) of Washington State, Julie Cooley, (Casey) of Pratville, Ala., Leslie Ross of Fort Walton Beach, Misty Koscielniak, (Vince) of Crestview; Rickey and Trevor Fauson, of Lynnhaven; 25 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren along with several other extended family members.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date to be determined. In lieu of any flowers the family requests that donations be made to the A.C. Society or to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar in the memory of Ernest F. Fauson.

Mr. Fauson was a wonderful friend and neighbor. He did not know a stranger and offered kind words and help to all who needed it. He would mow our yards when we were not able. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Vera, whom he adored, and his children and grandchildren (whom he also adored!). Sometimes it takes a village, and Ernie was our village. He took good care of us. RIP Ernie.

I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF MY DEAR FRIEND ERNIE FAUSON.HE WAS MY NEIGHBOR WHEN I WAS 13YOA,WE WORKED TOGETHER ON SEVERAL CASES WHEN I GREW UP THROUGH OUR CAREERS.ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN,ALWAYS THOUGHTFUL AND LOVING.HAS A WONDERFUL WIFE AND CHILDREN.
