Fonsoe B. Locke, age 86 of Valparaiso, Fla., passed away at his home on May 18, 2013. He was born on Oct. 1, 1926, in Holmes County, Fla., to Silas and Annie Mae Locke.

He honorably served his country during World War II and Korea, in the U.S. Marine Corps. He especially loved working on his farm. Fonsoe was happiest when he was working or doing something outdoors and also enjoyed working on automobiles. He was Baptist by faith. Fonsoe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Audrey Locke; son, Del Locke, and daughter-in-law, Ruth; daughter, Carol Frick, and son-in-law, Craig; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; as well as a brother, Ted (Mary) Locke and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Valparaiso, Fla. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Officiating at the Service will be Rev. Ernest Walker. Following services burial will be in Sunset Cemetery with military honors. Twin Cities Cremation and Funeral Services will be handling the arrangements.
