Henrietta Gennaro, 87, of Niceville, Fla., passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Aug. 22, 2014, with family at her side.
She is survived by her son, Jim Gennaro of Crestview, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lisa (Gennaro) Biller, Thief River Falls, Minn., James Gennaro, Sacramento, Calif. and Joseph Gennaro Crestview; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Henrietta Biller, Sara Biller and Thomas Biller of Thief River Falls. She was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Shepherd; and brother, Richard Marcickiewicz.
Henrietta was born in Philadelphia, Pa. to Jessie and Adolph Marcickiewicz on March 22, 1927. She was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia. Henrietta was an accomplished business woman; she began her professional career at the Navy Department, after the war. She then, in 1951, worked for Hawthorne Equipment in Philadelphia until 1978. Then in 1981 she began working as an administrative assistant with MEDIQ Imaging Services. Henrietta retired and moved to Niceville in 1994, to be close to her family. Always one to keep busy, Henrietta worked for Tickets and Tours at Eglin Air Force Base. Her last position was with the Mid-Bay Rotary Club, where she officially retired in 2013.

No one ever left her home without memories that brought a smile to their face.
She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but it was her son, Jim, of whom Henrietta was most proud and forever held closest.
