Larry Mobley Sr., age 64, of Holt, Fla., passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 1, 1949, in Port St. Joe, Fla., to the late Ida and Thomas Berry Mobley. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife Lynn Mobley, sons Larry (Amy) Mobley II, Allen Mobley, Glenn (Bonnie) Montgomery, Herman (Melinda) Hicks Jr., daughters Tracy Mobley and Sabrina (Robert) Potter, brothers Thomas Mobley and Johnny Mobley, a sister Hattie Mae, grandchildren Savannah Mobley, Payton Mobley, Glenda Montgomery, Xavier Singletary, Kaylee Arne, Zander Mobley, Brianna Hicks, Austin Hicks and Makina Potter.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014, at the chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Old Holt Cemetery.
