Robert 'Bob' Ignasiak, age 89, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2013. Bob was born and raised in Kenmore, N.Y. He attended Kenmore (West) High School, Buffalo State College (B.A.) and Michigan State University (M.A.). He served as a translator for the Army Air Force and earned 5 Battle Stars. As a school social worker in the Buffalo School System, he helped troubled youths and their families.

Bob was a joyful, charismatic, well-educated man and a member of MENSA. Bob was a family man who loved traveling and helping people. He was a Shriner, 32nd degree Mason, and Master of Herman Masonic Lodge.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Florence Ignasiak; daughter, Diana Petway; daughter-in-law, Teresa Ignasiak; and his grandchildren, Karissa Ignasiak Bell and her husband, Bill Bell, Robby, Breigh and Blayne Ignasiak.
