Mr. Dana Paul Hamrick Sr., age 79, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., passed away Friday, April 6, 2012. He was born Sept. 24, 1932 in Hinton, W. Va.
Mr. Hamrick was Baptist by faith. He worked as a Service Technician and Installation Manager with Sears for many years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and was very talented in repairing anything that needed fixing. He reserved the right to buy his grandchildren their first fishing poles.
Mr. Hamrick is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mable Hamrick and one son James Dennis Hamrick.
Mr. Hamrick is survived by his three sons Dana Paul Hamrick Jr. of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., David Neil Hamrick Sr. of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and Robert "Bob" Earl Hamrick and wife Bobbi of Alabaster, Ala.; one daughter Ruth "Missy" Hamrick Barnett and husband Frank of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; one sister Cleo Fox and husband Barney of Sevierville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A time of Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue; DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m, Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Almarante Cemetery in Laurel Hill, Fla., with Eulogy by Frank Barnett.
