Hattie Casey Killcreas (1907 - 2007)

Mrs. Hattie Killcreas, age 100, of Freeport, Fla., passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2007. She was born Jan. 31, 1907, in Bunker, Fla.
Mrs. Killcreas was the eighth and last daughter of Quincy and Martha Penton Casey. She married Herbert Brooks Killcreas. Upon his retirement from Pan-American Airlines in Miami, Fla., in 1969 they returned to Freeport. Herbert died on Feb. 27, 1978. Hattie loved crafts, sewing, crocheting, and was an avid card player. She was a member of Freeport United Methodist Church for many years.
Mrs. Killcreas was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband, Herbert Killcreas; seven sisters, Gertrude Cauley, Josie Cartwright, Jessie Cauley, Billie Kavanaugh, Modese Cauley, Renah Casey, and Maudy Casey; one daughter-in-law, Geraldine Brooks; and great-grandchild, Michael Kittinger.
Mrs. Killcreas is survived by her two children, Bobby Brooks Killcreas and Vivian K. Susenbach; six grandchildren, Suzanne R. Killcreas of Dalton, Ga., James H. Killcreas and wife Dedra of Cartersville, Ga., Kim Marie S. Woolbright and husband Jim of Lilburn, Ga., Donald A. Susanbach, Jr. and wife Donna of Richmond, Va., Jo S. Kittinger and husband Richard of Birmingham, Ala., and Robert Brooks Susenbach and wife Melissa of Freeport; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica Helen Killcreas and Matthew James Killcreas, Robert Scott Kittinger, Rebecca Jo Kittinger, Donald A. Susenbach III and wife April, Daniel Susenbach and wife Beccy, Darla Mae Susenbach, and one more due to be born in December to Bobby and Melissa Susenbach; two great-great-grandchildren, Jeremy Susenbach and Alana M. Susenbach.
A time of visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, FL 32439.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Satterwhite officiating.
