Jonathon Sutton Obituary
Jonathon Scott Sutton, 55, of Okaloosa County, Fla., passed away on Saturday, April 13.
He was born to the late James and Vida Sutton on March 8, 1958, in Pensacola, Fla.
Jonathon married Susan Sutton in 1979. Together they faithfully raised seven children. Jonathon worked for Tybrin Corporation on Eglin Air Force Base for 20 years, and is remembered by his coworkers as a kind, compassionate and diligent leader.
Jonathon's life was defined by his unshakeable faith in God and his love for the Kingdom. Like David, he was a man after God's own heart. He served as Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Valparaiso, Fla., for several years, during which time he left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. He was a strong, quiet, and tenacious man, a gifted writer, musician and counselor, and a beloved husband, father, grandfa-ther, and brother.
Jonathon is survived by his wife Susan, and his children Jonathon and Tiffiny Sutton of Ridgecrest, Ca.; Caleb and Cassandra Sutton of Trujillo, Peru; Alec and Rebekah Sutton of Charleston, S.C.; Robert and Susannah Grete of Petersburg, Va.; Ian Sutton of Niceville, Fla.; Cameron Sutton of Washington, Ga.; and Emily Sutton of Washington, Ga. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Jonathon was a great man, the definition of meekness (powerful strength cloaked in gentle humility). His wisdom, love, generosity and joy have, and will, minister to our family for decades to come. He is missed, but he fought the good fight of faith, and is now victorious in the Lord, his joy and hope. We thank the Lord for him and his family.

Witnessing Jonathan's spiritual growth in our Lord over the past 25 years was nothing short of amazing. He allowed, God, to mold him and pull him from his comfort zones to a place of outreach and ministry in the church. Such a humble man, he never brought attention to himself, instead he strived to do the work of his Heavenly Father in the purest form possible. He was such a wise and creative parent to his accomplished children. He was truly 'perfect' for Susan. Never have we seen a husband so sensitive and in tune to the needs and feelings of his wife. He leaves a gaping hole in their family and in all our lives. He will be forever missed. If it were not for the promises of God, we could not bear this loss.
