Kerry Elaine Barbee, 47, of Crestview, Fla., passed on April 18, 2012.
Kerry was born on March 7, 1966, in Monroeville, Ala., to Rayburn and Faye Nall. She graduated from Crestview Senior High School in 1984. She earned her Bachelor of Management degree from Troy State University in 2000 and was a Florida Gator fan through and through. Kerry and her husband, Craig, own Southern Capital Insurance and are partial owners of Foxwood Country Club of Crestview. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Crestview.
Kerry is survived by her husband, Craig Alan Barbee; daughter, Jessa Gabrielle Fleming; granddaughter, Emma Laine Fleming; sister, Donna Jeanette Odom (husband, Randall Odom); brother and family, James Benson of Braywood, Ill., and Senthia Diane Sawyer; affectionately known as "Kate" by her nephews, Tyler Christian Reeves (wife, Lauren Reeves), Drew Nall, Stran Sawyer and Brandon Bateman; nieces, Haley Brooklyn Head, Sennia Fayth Sawyer, Carley Rea Odom and Kristina Bateman; father-in-law, Karl L. Barbee (wife, Cassie Barbee); brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Cheryl Bateman; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins; and her constant companions, Baylee and Lucy, the family pets.
Kerry enjoyed some 20-plus years as a member of Zeta Delta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International sorority. The "sisters" were an intricate part of her life. Kerry enjoyed life to the fullest. Whether it was golfing, boating, community service, she did it with zest and fun.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, at First Baptist Church of Crestview, 102 Cedar Ave., Crestview, with interment at Live Oak Park Memorial Cemetery.
Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to Zeta Delta Chapter Scholarship Fund.
