michael was always the type of young man who would just jump and help with whatever needed to be done. the saturday before he was diagnosed with cancer, he helped install the new Church of Christ sign that faces hwy 85 on commerce drive. he could barely breathe, but he was determined to get that sign installed before Sunday morning. we love you aunt katy

This is the way most of us remember Michael with that visor turned around backwards. He's overlooking the pond where hi Grandaddy taught him to fish.

When I arrived at work on Friday all I could think about was the end of a long work week. Sometime after lunch I met a man who loved his wife, children, mom, dad, and family more than his own life. I did not feel sorry for this man nor his condition, but I saw through his sky blue eyes a humble heart. I listened to every word he spoke. He knew exactly what was going on but he continued to smile. Thank you Lord for allowing me to have met one of your sons "Michael". I will never forget that encounter. What a beautiful person.
Not a day has passed that I have not thought about nor prayed about Stacey and the boys...I am believing by faith that God has this family under His wings! For God so loved this world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. All strength comes from God; all mercy from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...
